Retriever

.... is a 43' yawl designed in 1964 by Francis Kinney of Sparkman and Stephens, and built by Casey Brooks in Port Townsend, WA from 1976 to 1980.  Retriever was re-fit as a cutter following hurricane damage in 2004.

Alani

.... is a graceful 36' sloop, designed by Alan Gurney and built by the Hinrichsen Boatyard of Hamlebeck, Denmark in 1961.  Alani spent most of her cruising career in the Pacific, and was purchased by Casey and Lori in Key West in 2003. Gary Smith, of the Rio Dulce, is the proud new owner of Alani. She remains at Casey’s Bronze Star boat shop in Cayo Quemado for periodic maintenance.

Jaguar

.... is a 16' fiberglass launch, or lancha in Spanish, our run-about "work-horse" for supply runs into town.

Lorena

Casey is nearing completion of a 27’ ultra-light fast launch of wood and epoxy construction designed by Phil Bolger. The Lorena is an elegant reproduction of a retro 1930’s “Lake Tahoe” style speed boat.  With a 25-horsepower outboard she will speed downriver at 25mph – only 15 minutes to town.

Lorena will be an attention-getting addition to any dock on the Rio, and will be available for sale in early 2009.  Next project on the drawing board is a 10’ nesting dinghy.

Barkito

.... is tender to Retriever, an 8' wooden lapstrake nutshell pram. Could mean a little boat or a little bark.
